9/17/11 AllStar Becomes a Movie Theater & "Fight Gone Bad"

-Posted by KC

We turned our box into a movie theater!

This month's pic was "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead", an inspiring story about an Australian who cures himself of disease by ingesting high concentrations of micro-nutrients through juice fasting. Amazing how quickly the body can heal itself when given the right high quality, non processed, nutrient dense plant foods.

The gymnastics mats were pulled out for an AllStar slumber party complete with pillow fight warm up.

Della, after a long hard day and a movie.

Workout of the Day

"Fight Gone Bad!"

Three rounds of:
Wall-ball, 20 pound ball, 10 ft target (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump, 20" box (Reps)
Push-press, 75 pounds (Reps)
Row (Calories) (Double Unders were subbed for rowing in todays workout)

In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of "rotate", the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.

While the adults do Fight Gone Bad, CrossFit Kid Koai'a does his own CrossFit workout, that he programed himself on his own, WITH recorded measurable results. RIGHT ON!!!!
